Does anyone visit anymore?
Well maybe they would if I actually posted! Life has been busy but nothing overly exciting. Christmas was fun as always. The kids enjoyed being able to be home and play with their toys instead of jetting off to NY. I worked all weekend after and it sucked! We were super busy and everyone was in a rotten mood! so much for the Christmas spirit! Then I threw my back out just before New Years and was laying on the couch for 5 days. The only good thing about that was that I read 3 books! During the kids winter break I read 6 books! I have loved getting back into reading! I'll read just about anything. I've started the quilting series that my mom likes and they are quick enjoyable reads. Stories about women and friendship. Mom was reading Fablehaven when I got home and enjoyed it so I read the first two. Great stories! Written more for 4th grade level but good. Kind of like Harry Potter. Written for younger kids but enjoyable for the masses. Loving my historical fiction novels! Started the Out of the Wilderness series and enjoy Elizabeth and Nathaniel's adventures. Then read about Tatiana and Alexander in The Bronze Horseman.
Work has been super stressful lately. The split with the CICU is complete except for physically and that won't happen for another 4 years. I have very mixed emotions about it and I'm trying to be PC but I will be so glad when we have the physical separation. At least I am now off the heart center mailing list on the e-mail. Its been nice just working with patient's again. I haven't been in charge or orienting for over a month. Nice to just go in and do my thing. Take care of the kids the way I want to and not be teaching and waiting for her to do it. Was in charge this past Sunday which wasn't bad. I was kind of dreading it but I actually had a great day. No too many admissions and everyone was able to handle their own assignments.
Been spending way too much time on facebook! I've reconnected with so many people from college though so that has been great. Cathleen, my best friend from college, and I have instant messaged several times and its been fun to get a glimpse of Robin's life again. Got to reconnect with a guy that I was close with freshman year. He was a senior then and he was like the big brother I always wanted. Being the oldest I always was seeking out that older big brother figure. It was Jack in high school and Joe in college. Yesterday a long lost cousin contacted my SIL. He has been reconnecting with his dad, our Uncle, and has been finding us all on FB. His parents divorced not long after he was born so we never knew him. Its stuff like that that keeps me on there all the time. My mom joked that that is why I never call, b/c I am on FB too much. I don't know what she is talking about though b/c I talk to her at least weekly! Someday I'll be saying that about my kids!
Grace is home sick today and I really need to get off this computer and get something done!
